June 1997, has just been re-accredited with the status. This is a great achievement
for Tate as it is the first IiP accreditation since the business re-branded and
since it brought together all the legacy brands and all the UK locations under the
Tate brand. This has involved the integration of many different cultures and
working styles under the single vision of being the \"best everywhere all the time\",
and has clearly paid off.

The Assessor's review highlighted the importance of values and ethics within the
business, the fact that communication is strong throughout the organisation and that
the Learning and Development function is key to the success of Tate. A quote from
the Assessor demonstrates this - "There is a really strong sense of teamwork across
the organisation.Learning and development has been prioritised to address the core
development required for the business".

During her visits to the various sites, the Assessor uncovered the fact that the
"people believe they are recognised and appreciated for their work" and that "staff
believe the benefits package and Tate's approach to work life balance is very
positive and continues to improve". With the company's ability to set realistic
targets, motivate, reward and develop staff, maintain an effective and supportive
management team and keep a family friendly approach; it is not surprising that the
staff retention rate is going from strength to strength within Tate. The overall
sentiment was echoed in the thoughts of one of the employees - "if I left Tate, I
would leave recruitment because I truly believe that no one else out there does
office support recruitment better than we do!"
